J. Erick Dimalanta is one of the founding members of Dimalanta Clark, LLP and serves as the firm’s Managing Partner. He has been in practice for over 18 years and has counseled and represented private companies, public entities, associations and professionals in a variety of areas including construction, professional liability, real estate, insurance defense, environmental contamination, government tort defense, land subsidence, bankruptcy, products liability, personal injury, consumer class actions, premises liability and complex business litigation. Prior to founding Dimalanta Clark, LLP, Erick was a partner at a national law firm and has tried, arbitrated and mediated hundreds of cases throughout his legal career. Erick has also lectured to companies in the areas of real estate, professional liability and construction defect litigation. Mr. Dimalanta has served as a Court Appointed Arbitrator and Mediator for the Solano County Superior Court. He is member of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California (ADC), the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the Bar Associations of San Francisco, Contra Costa, Napa and Solano Counties, the Filipino Bar Association of Northern California, Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area and the California Minority Counsel Program. Erick received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley and Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he served as Executive Editor for the Asian Pacific Islands Law Journal. He is admitted to practice in the State of California, Federal District Courts of California (Northern, Central, Southern and Eastern Districts), as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
